The idea of death or dying is a difficult one and not frequently discussed in our society. However, at some point we may decide it’s time to make a Will to ensure that our families, friends or a favoured charity will benefit from what we leave behind.

Carers don’t just deserve a break – they need one!

Homelink is a nurse-led day respite centre for adults staffed by qualified nurses and trained volunteers. 110 clients a week come to the centre so that their Carer can take some time for themselves. We not only provide medical, social, psychological and spiritual support for our clients in the centre we also provide a complete Carer support framework. This includes regular Carer support meetings and access to other local support groups.

A carer can leave the centre knowing their relative or friend will enjoy a happy, safe and well cared for day with friends, every week.

What does it cost Homelink to run this successful charity?

In continuing to offer our professional and quality service to clients and carers in 2008/9 the cost to each client attending the centre approximates to £30-00 per day. The running costs of Homelink for 2009/10 are estimated at £142,000. Some of this money comes from grants, fundraising and donations.

If you have experienced the wonderful work of Homelink as a Client, Carer, Volunteer, or just visited the centre we hope you will consider leaving Homelink a gift in your Will. Your gift will ensure that the happy ethos and professional standards achieved by Homelink will continue and allow us to grow for the benefit of a future generation. A gift of £1,080, for example, will provide a days respite each week for a Carer for a year (49 weeks).

How to include Homelink in your Will?
